Congratulations Chief! - that is (yet another) a fine example of skill in both wood and metal. The colour and grain of the bog oak is wonderful - I can see why you chose it (and why its so highly valued) and the contrast to the metal is perfect. And, of course, it works.
I see further trouble for the Judges with this one now in the running.

Lovely work CT. Well done

Chief,
Exceptional work, working in small scale(I think that’s a really measurement) is hard.
We are lucky the Judges are drinkers, there going too need some Red lubricant to make there finally decision.
You’re just made it harder for them.
Cheers Matt.

Beautiful plane
Congratulations Chief on making a very nice plane. Looks are deceiving... may appear to be simple but I know the thinking, planning and skill that needs to be incorporated can and at times quite complex. You have constructed a fine woodworking tool. Many good planes have been made for this competition. Pity the plane makers don't form a co- op - (given the wide range of skill, knowledge and creative ideas displayed in this challenge) and go in competition against the big names in the tool industry.
Regards
Anthony

Hey Chief, I just went through the thread for planes ready for the judges and couldn't find yours there.
Make sure you put in up there as well. We wouldn't want to miss it, right?

It's up now...:D
I've been trying for weeks to find the time to set up my laptop to do just that; and with the house renos going on the SPACE to set up a laptop!
I started writing this morning but only sorted out the pictures just now. And I now need an admin to help delete a thumbnail that has crept in there :((!!!
Just Matt to go now....

I thought Aussiephil might still be a chance - he made significant progress but hasn't posted for a month. Hopefully he can sneak in before the deadline.
