    Bob

Thank you for the update. Hopefully this will encourage everybody to get to completion.

There is, I think, one omission:

    Sheets purpleheart plane.jpg

Sheets may be paying the penalty for being so quick passed the finish line or it could be that his subdued timber colour has caused it to blend into the background at the airport. Or maybe he has to provide a current covid-19 vaccination certificate or risk being disqualified.

(Either that or one of the judges has entered a ringer...)
I was about to lodge a protest but quickly realised that the ring in was a better chance than the original entry. Damn you CT, I thought I was in with a chance.

A ringer indeed, Chief, and not entered by any of the judges unless the others have done something underhand.

Unless I'm grossly mistaken & Picko is the best counterfeiter in the business, I think I know who made the plane pictured, & he is scrupulously observing the rules (not to mention the plane pictured was made outside the stipulated time period and resides far from its place of birth)...

    Cheers,
    IW

    Cheers,
But not at my place unfortunately.
You have to admit though, that the substitution was a better effort than Fine Cotton - no dodgy paint job - and only cost me a couple of beers (we'll settle that later Bob).

Shouldn't be surprised that this was mentioned after that decidedly dodgy list of odds was posted. I mean "Labr@ at 5/1 against" - what piffle! I'm a shoo in!

Bob, I notice you have listed 11 as finished but there were only 6 in the Finished thread when I last looked. In case some entrants are not following this thread it might be a good idea to send a reminder PM about 2 weeks out to make sure all finished planes are posted.

Seems like I snipped the image from post #124 not #125. Here is the correct image Picko.jpg

These are our assessment of those that have been finished AND those which we considered has reach a stage where they could be submitted for judging - hence the designation "??? finished". Hopefully it will encourage those who have not submitted their plane for judging to do so. BTW looking forward to seeing your finished plane.
