Now just need to get the write-up sorted.

By cracky that thing's so shiny we can tell you were wearing a pink top when you took the photo.

It might pay to put a few photos in the "Finished" thread tonight in case your internet goes down tomorrow night. You know how Murphy's law strikes at the worst moment.

    Matt

That is truly the beautiful Australian 'Bod.' I really like the composite timber and metal sections in the two handles. As bob said, that is just so shiny! Lucky it has some weight in it or the bower birds would be flying off with it. It's a keeper!

You have done a wonderful job with that Forest Red Gum and really tamed it's recalcitrant nature.

    Regards
    Paul

    Paul,
I’ve now presented my plane to the Three honourable ones,
Unfortunately and dearly sorry the Forest Red Gum was changed to some Red gum Burl.
But I which I had stuck with the Forest Gum you had provided.
The Burl was a piece of cr....... even getting some usable bits out was a challenge.

    Cheers Matt

Funny you should say that as I was looking at the raw wood and thought, "Oooh, I should have done a bit better than that!"

Either way, the timber parts have come up looking terrific.

I know I’m very late mate but it’s not too late to say that you have done a fine job.
    Pete.
P.S. I will finish mine but it’ll take a bit longer yet.

If your cooper's plane is anything like your horizontal Langstroth hives, it will be the bees' knees.

    Regards
    Paul

PS: Matt's plane did come up very well. I would have given it a special commendation in the bling section.
