Paul,
Number 4.
But unfortunately it is borderline just because you can doesn’t mean you should, or something to that effect.
It really is just because I wanted to, there is know benefit at all other than to pleases me.
Cheers Matt.

Don't forget you have that drain hole. I imagine you are mentally tied up with exactly what kind of complexity to best utilize such a complex feature.
And Matt, the Body is looking good. I think you should claim your oval washer thing has a critical function. Not that you need the extra push in the judges eyes, but given Ironwood's bar-setting plane, it might help.

That drain hole..... I know what Paul’s up to! He is building security into his design. Slip a padlock through the hole and chain it to the bench. Simply genius!
Come on Matt, drill a hole in yours too, before he takes out a patent and wins the challenge to boot.
Pete.

Checked my lever cap this afternoon after work,
On a very crude apparatus,or more accurately using my 1 2 3 blocks some HSS lathe blanks, one at 6 mm ,two at 3 mm thickness too raise my blade iron up to the required height.
One small surface plate.
One off cut of 5 mm steel rod soon to become Lever Cap support bar.
The temporary lever support bar cut from the soon to be lever cap support bar is 5 mm diameter unknown steel type.
And is approximately 12 mm to the underside of the Temporary Bar in the Body
Shown by Picture.
So ,if all my very ruff setup is correct,(Ruff being slightly underestimating it).
I have approximately 1 mm or so clearance at the back leading edge of my Lever Cap.
There is a tiny ,tiny gap at one front corner but I’m fairly certain that is just the setup as the bar on the 1 2 3 blocks is rolling around a bit, as I have know hi tech Blue tac to use to hold Support Bar in place on 1 2 3 Blocks.
So ,I’m fairly happy with that , unless the collective wisdom of the crowd, tell me I’m all wrong, and the reasons why they think I’m all wrong.
Cheers Matt.

Can I also say you are wrong without giving a reason, just because I want you to be wrong although I am sure you are not? [emoji6]
Looking good. And even if there is slight gap later you can easily adjust that once everything is together.
