Hi Matt. Saw your photo in the tips section of all your components. What timber are you thinking of stuffing it with?

Hi MA, The current plan, with the timber stuffing is Forest Red Gum, Paul Aka Bushmiller has sent some down to me.
So that’s the plane at present, tho it’s still not solid yet.

    Cheers Matt.

    Progress is progress is progress,

Will fluff about with the dovetails a tiny little more, and of course cut(File the little locking bit later.
But I’m pretty happy with the fit so far.

    Cheers Matt.

    Matt

That looks neat and quite big too. Does the size matter? Can we have a length dimension. On reflection I have just remembered that this pane is "The Body" so it was always bound to have some size about it.

    Paul,
It will be just under, that old People’s talk of a foot,12 inches.
Or for the more modern people 300 mm.

An of course size matters, I can’t believe you even need to ask.

    Cheers Matt.

    Matt

I couldn't help noticing the floor. What's that in the vice? Whatever it is, I think it could use some timber.

    Paul

Yes that’s vintage pine covering a service pit in a home garage!!.
It’s a little fluidity now lol.

    Let’s not talk timber please!

I was due some yesterday [emoji3064]

If Paul is sending some Bull or Hairy Oak I will be very, very jealous. But that would look great with your plane
