    Hey Larks,

I don't have any info on the builder. the reg plate is '61. The last owner told me he picked her up in echuca off the family of the builder. She was in a shed for a long time. She had a '61 evinrude big twin, (which I mistook for a lark III.) She was repainted in about '98ish. Now after repairs she's ready for paint and varnish.

I had to repair the hull as the seams were leaking considerably and the paint looked, well, ordinary. There was a frame that needed repair, many screws that needed replacing, seams needing re-glueing and I put a layer of glass on the bottom.

the hardest job so far would be removing the paint and lead undercoat followed by removing a layer of uncured epoxy, which was my own fault.

the Kombi is a '59 so yep, similar vintage.

Interesting, I asked because it kind of looked like something from Echuca, not sure why because I'm no authority on ski boats but I grew up there and it just looks "familiar". There was a cabinet maker come boat builder there by the name of Berny Taylor who seemed to me to put out some lovely boats. I don't know when he actually started building boats but it certainly isn't too early to be one of his and it seems to have that cabinet makers touch about it?.

Dan, nice project and workmanship. A picture of the boat running when completed will be nice.
