Adopted a project TS16
Looks like I'm not building Welsford's Houdini after all.
A part refurbished TS16 popped up in the classifieds for the right price.
It now lives at my place.
Another man's dream... he feels he's got too old to finish it.
Has done some beautiful work on the outside - inside mostly untouched.
The sort of changes I earlier proposed should I ever own another TS16 would
wreck most of his beautiful work. So am pondering options. The best idea so
far is a pop-top cabin roof pictured on a TS18 at http://hartley-ts.com.au/Gallery/Gallery.php (pull-down "pop-top").
If I extend the existing cabin forward into the hated & wasted fore deck area,
put a junk or lug sail in tabernacle right forward, and a mizzen aft, most of the
cabin roof can be popped. Unfortunately, doodles of cat ketch & yawls so far
all seem to reduce the max sail area by too much.
what to do...
what to do...
(My missus knows the answer exactly... paint the eaves & finish the paving !!)
cheers
AJ

It may be a change of plan, but it does give you something real to get on with between home duties. I think you'll have fun with this and it will give the whole family some pleasure when you are finished.
Cheers,
Rob
