Want advice from recent Pacer dinghy builder(s) - Brisbane
Hi folks
I'm researching building a Pacer dinghy.
(Yes, I know where to buy plans, etc.)
What I'd like to hear from any recent builders of Pacers is their estimate of costs of materials.
Specifically:
1. What was your cost of materials to build the construction jig(s)?
2. What was your cost of materials to build a boat hull? (all the wooden bits, incl rudder, etc.)
3. How much workshop floorspace is realistically needed?
4. & finally, if you were to build one more Pacer, what materials would you change? (I'm thinking here of types of ply or types of wood, etc.)
Thanks
Doug
PS I live in Brisbane. If anyone has the construction jigs and may wish to sell, let's talk!"Nothing succeeds like a budgie without a beak!" :D

Pacers in Brisbane
Are you looking to build in timber, or guidance on the works with details on the timber bits?
Corey at MASRM Boats over at Northgate is building 2 of them currently in glass - He took over some years ago from Merv Anderson who would have built over 100 pacers (in glass) for the Brisbane market, Corey is a good bloke and worth having a chat to.
Cheers,
