Aloha West Wight Potter #334 1970 Help!
Aloha. I am on Hawaii and I recently have bought a Potter 14 1970 #334. This is the Freya, the boat that was sailed from Cailfornia to Mexico and from Mexico to Hilo, Hawaii in 1970. I am refurbishing the boat and making it seaworthy again. If anyone has any information on helping me put the original style Gunther rig back on it I would be appreciative. As of now I have nothing no rigging, photo (5).jpg mast, rudder, sail or hardware. Also I am a beginner at all this so it has been an adventure so far.

Welcome to the forum.
The gunter rig is less desirable than other rigs, for several reasons, and likely why it was replaced. Try not to place too much importance on the accomplishments of Smith and Diefenderfer, who are simply "nut jobs" in modern terms and displayed superior sailing skills, so not so much a testament to the boat, as their extreme abilities.
The West Wight Plotter has a significant fan base and parts are available with just a few mouse clicks. WestWightPotter.com would be the logical place to start.
