Thread: broken burton surf ski

broken burton surf ski
hi all ..does anyone know how to repair a burton surf ski. the hull is paper thin and it lookes like crosshatching material inside. there is a soft spot that must have been hit when stored in a shed. i just got it and know nothing about them. i hope i can paddle it. so how do i fix it

Send it down to Burtons, they're in Ulladulla. Failing that have a chat to the boys down at the surf club.

i think it is some sort of fibre mat that has been glassed over..the centre rib is ply. try the photos.

This is a woodwork forum, so glad that the boat has some wood in it!
Is the inside of the boat accessible in that area?

Repeat ... is the inside of the boat in that area accessible? Can you get at it or is it inaccessible.
