Hey maybe you could contact those manufacturers to avoid blatently ripping them off by stealing their Intellectual Property. As an owner myself I'd rather see factory built boats than backyarders devaluing my boat and stealing IP that I had to pay for.
I'm after the plans for the 2008 Aston Martin Vantage, if you could post them up, you can copy my boat.

The 2008 aston martin is no good for skiing.
If you can do it - Do it! If you can't do it - Try it!
Do both well!

seacraft ski boats
That was perfect Paul.
With my grandfather and father designing and building Seacrafts, there’s many years of effort worked into every one of those boats.
Fortunately, there hasn’t been a quality inauthentic “Seacraft” made, yet people still keep trying. My grandfather skilled my father for 15 years before he built his first boat, so I’m not too worried if they keep on trying.
Unfortunately, those who fail to acknowledge the craftsmanship of these boats, also fail to appreciate the gratitude of owning one.
I most definitely sympathise for those customers like Paul who subsequently get affected.
Unfortunately I’ve seen this go on my whole life, nobody wins.

Howdy,
This type of question often appears on this forum. Usually because the person hasn't quite thought it through yet. Almost all agree in the end that it is a good idea to buy plans as they want to be fair to everyone.
Copying a basic shape and then trying to work out the structures to support it is a pretty big job. Good plans have that all worked out as well as some sort of procedure and some sort of backup if you get into difficulties.
I don't know what the Seacraft looks like. But some places you could look for something similar would be the Glen L website - it has a big range of powerboats. I think you would probably be pretty aware of the Hartley range. Mark Bowdidge on this forum has a number of powerboats too, but they are modern.
The modern wooden boats generally use a lot less materials than the plans from 40 years ago. This cuts down on the cost and the motor size.
F. Tull, do you every hear of second hand boats?
