bought myself a table saw for the boat and many other projects... love it!!
cut up heaps of 9mm offcuts in 20mm wide strips for the under sole cleats
also laminated a heap of ply into a block for the tow eye... and shaped & drilled it ready to be glued in

at the same time as laminating the tow eye block I made a couple of "doublers" for the micro power pole and ladder that will be glued and glassed onto the transom.
This is dry fitting them making sure i have everything in the right spot... including the Ski Pole placement

i discovered some sizing issues with the fuel hose i had been supplied and finally got that sorted
prepped for the gluing up of the under sole cleats, tried to find some small clamps at any and all the local hardware & variety stores today to no avail. So after a few wasted hours I ended up cutting up 50mm comms conduits into roughly 25mm wide strips as makeshift clamps and these will be good enough to hold the cleats while the glue cures.
glued up the under floor pipework as well, not before finding all my plumbing PVC cement had looooong expired, so yet another trip to the hardware store was required.
Glued up all the pipework and its now all in place and not going anywhere.
Also cut out bulkhead 2 for my rod locker which is part of my deck extension.

Making my way through the cleats over the last week or so...
need to put the heater on in the shed a few hours prior to starting thanks to the rapid decrease of overnight temps... but daytime weather has been good enough to be able to drag the boat out and work in the sun
Also putting the resin tub in front of a little electric blow heater makes it easily workable after a good shake... i hate working in the cold!!!

quick glue up to finish off the cleats and get the tow eye block in... hopefully i've done this right
obviously still need to fillet and then glass the block in and re-drill the holes and seal the holes before installing the tow eye.

spent a few days after work cleaning up the cleats, had to adjust a couple that had slipped up due to clamping pressure... whoops
dry fit the cockpit sole, made a few adjustments to ensure a good fit. modified the forward storage sole to suit my requirements.
Prepped the fuel tank sole as well, cut some holes so i can pour the foam inside and glued in rings for each so i can plug them later. Gave the underside a few coats of resin and finally glued in the fuel tank sole... once step closer to foam!!
It doesn't look like i've done much but i have stopped over the past few weeks...lol

put the fuel tank in to see how everything lined up...
the breather hose will go up inside a bulkhead within the front deck extension and beck down to the same location as i'm having the filler.
also cut out the aft cockpit sole to suit... still tossing up whether to have it as a hatch or take the hatch completely removed
planned live well hoses!!
red/blue = inlet & recirculation
orange = overflow

19th June
Spent some time out in the shed on a couple of projects today...
project one - making a box for my wife's birthday present... its in more pieces than its supposed to be after all the dry glue joints decided they didn't want to stay together.
project two - made a jig for my table saw to make some special looking inserts in the corners of boxes and make them pretty (and hide dodgy corners...lol)
project three - help youngest son with his laminated timber sunglasses case that he has designed and is building when i am sort of free to assist.
project zero - the boat...lol
Dad came around and gave me a hand as i shouldn't be doing much as i had a procedure to remove a lump from my back during the week.
Dad cut out holes for a 40mm pipe for my sounder cables as recommended by one of the guys on the boat building forum.
Dad sanded/prepped the fuel tank sole for filleting and glassing, cleaned up stray glue etc.
I picked up some more pipe and fittings from the big green shed and then we installed it and glued it in as well as the ventilation pipe for the fuel tank.
