Yes I have noted Jewel and yes I'm not for the Yawl rig.
But the ratio of cabin space to cockpit area ia about what I'm after, I think this could easily be incorporated into the Stir Ven.
Full size mylars would be time savers and provide better accuracy. But these add the to up front costs compared to detail and quality of what Outghtred and others provide for 1/3rd the cost. I have Iain's Lapstrake building book - excellent reference.
That said, having built a few boats and intend to incorporoate modifications into Stir Ven, I may follow Mike Randall's path and plot from plan pack.
