cleaning SS water tanks
Fitting out the hull, and after 14 years of sitting around I suspect the stainless steel water tanks may not be kosher. How to clean them?

If they've had moisture in them, I'd suspect pin holes.
Remove them, seal the fill and vent(s) then submerged in a tank of water. Leaks will turn up pretty quickly.
Water tanks can be internally epoxy coated or polyurthane.

The tanks don't leak, the concern I have is any nasties inside them. I would like to be sure the water is safe to drink.
