Thread: Dad's ski boat

It looks as though the boats 3rd ski season (62, 63 and 08) is drawing to an end, the weather is cooling off and it's starting to get a bit cold to waterski.
The boat has now been used for about 13 days since January with total reliability. Some damage did occur and was repaired including 2 broken ribs from the boat riding rough, which has been sorted by adusting the trim/cavitation plate and a 1" hole in the bottom due to it sitting on a bolt when loaded onto the trailer.
Some additions/modifications were made throughout this period including;
Barefoot boom, to get us all up and skiing, a length of aluminium scaffold tube, scaffold clamped to the ski pole with a stainless handle on the end.
Swim platform, for easier/safer access into the boat and somewhere to sit whilst putting skis on in deep water, one jelly legged skier did graze his shins badly on the cavitation plate whilst climbing into the boat.
Stern mounted tow ring, for towing knee boards and tubes, which allows for people to sit in the back seat without a rope taking their heads off.
Rod holder, mounted on top of the ski pole, this had the fishing guys in their tinnies shaking their heads.
