Fitting rowlocks to Manly Junior
Hello all,
I have just been asked to fit rowlocks to a ply Manly Junior. I have not seen the boat, however I did build one when at school. (A very long time ago)
The MJ that I built at school did not have rowlocks, however I seem to remember that my teacher at the time was constructing one that did.
Any advice on pros/cons etc would be appreciated.

Can't see any real problems. If the gunwale is a bit battered it might need to be reglued or have a fastening horizontally through all the laminations about an inch in front of and an inch after the rowlock.
And then you will have to organise somewhere to sit.
If it is one of the ones with double sides (like a thin buoyancy tank) there might be some problems mounting a seat. There were a few different buoyancy arrangements over the years.
