Some people should chill out, take their wooden boat (if they have one) and use it, then they MIGHT have an idea why we build and own boats for!!!!!!

I haven't previously posted on your thread Rob, before but I always read it with interest.
It's hard to imagine where we go from here.
I guess if fishing from a wooden boat shouldn't be discussed, nor should sailing, rowing, skiing, paddling or any of those other things we DO with our boats.
Ignore the narrow minded Rob as I hope "management" will.

Bankers.
Or possibly Bob Brown now that he has retired and has time to trawl (troll) the
internet for things to find offensive... (stuff him. real people with real lives live
here..)
Could also be people who can't catch fish & are sensitive about failure.
Either way, stuff 'em. I've enjoyed this thread & learnt a bit from it.
My fishing success is limited to dynamiting the beggars, but it is interesting
reading that there are other ways ... ;-)
cheers

Well how about that !.
I've asked the forum bosses to please delete this thread , they refused !.
But they have deleted any post slightly critical of them ! , on this post !.
This thread can rot in hell , I'll not post on this forum again !.

The Grey Seal Huon Seal
The facts.
Original reported post by a member:
The posts on this site "The Grey Seal Huon Seal" have gone from a very informative and interesting Boatbuilding site to a forum on fishing and outings in the boat. Should it not be relocated to elsewhere?
Hi Dopeydriver
The Admin team has received a reported post about your thread The Grey Seal Huon Seal. The reporting member has made the point, which on review does seem fair, that while the thread started off talking about this boat, it now seems to be a place for you to put your fishing stories.
It helps members in general if threads don't stray permanently too far from the topic of the first post - it makes it easier to search and it means that the information is found in the right forums.
Perhaps it would be a good idea for you to start a thread about your fishing exploits in the Fishing Forum. If you wanted to you could put a post in the Grey Seal thread pointing to the new thread and we will even move some of the posts across to the new thread if you would like to keep them all together.
This is not a demand, just a suggestion.
Cheers"
Pm also sent to the reporter of the post.
"thanks we're dealing with it"
Jeremy , can I make a SERIOUS request.
Could you please delete the thread "Grey Seal Huon Seal" COMPLETELY .
Thank you very much.
Rob J.
Dopeydriver then posted in the thread at post #420:
Some "Person" has complained to management about me putting stories of me catching fish off HS on this thread.
I have asked management to delete this thread entirely.
If they don't do that I won't be posting on it ever again anyway .
I want the thread DELETED please !.
A seething Rob J.
We do not delete threads particularly when they contain 400 odd posts and contain good information as yours does.
I hope that this clears the air and puts things straight.

I have enjoyed the journey of this post.
It is about the boat and it's owner.
Perhaps to keep everyone happy the fishing bits could be placed in the fishing forum.
I will continue to watch Rob's journey.

Fishing Forum, What fishing forum?????
Ian L
PS Rob, forgot to mention I had a Great sail back from the Harbour to Pittwater on Easter Monday, less than 4 hours (not bad for a old wooden motor sailer). Trailed a flat fish all the way but caught bugger all.

Thanks .
Wondered what was happening in the back-ground.
Ian (Wavedancer) - it sounds like we went to the same fishing school,
but not the one Rob J. went to. Am thinking of obtaining a blasting license
in order to catch fish more reliably...
cheers
