I actually just did the same myself. Picked up an old Hartley on e-bay so that I can rip out the trailer, the centreboard and deck hardware etc.
What are chain plates anyway (I havent got up to that bit clearly!).
I am not sure of the condition of all the stuff on my Hartley so there may still be stuff I need and I will let you know.

You probably have all you'll need then.
Chain plates are the anchor plates on the hull for the stays.
On big boats anyway.

We had a minor detour on the weekend via the Mornington Peninsula to pick up this Hartley that we are going to use for spare parts. The trailer and centreboard alone will have saved us a fortune.

Keep up the pics! Great work. My first "real" boat was a TS16, great boat, fast and quite forgiving.
Always tinkered with the idea of a strip pland WRC one... Be nice and quick! If you are reusing the old centreboard it would probably be worth shaping it a bit betetr and getting it shotblasted and treated. They are often just the steel plate cut to shape with not a lot of rust protection.

Looks like I had 2 threads for this boat. Not sure why
Perhaps a mod could merge them.
Anyway looks like this one is the moat up to date so I will post here too.
Ok. So it's been a little while the divorce has settled and I finally habe a new shed and have regained the boat (it was a close thing).
We will be getting back into her very soon.
Unfortunately the ex threw out the plans.
Can someone remind me where to get them?
And if you have already paid for them is there any discount?
