Default Hartley TS16 - Different Plans??

I'm building a TS16. The plans I have show the forward windscreen base starting at frame #1. With that design, very little room exists between the bow and where the cabin slants upward. On every picture I see of these boats on different websites, it appears the cabin starts upward at frame #2, and at a steeper angle. This allows much more room between the bow and where the cabin slants upward. My question is, does different plans exist for the TS16? Please forgive me on my lack of terminology. Thank you for any help you can give.

I suspect that you may have plans for the Hartley TS16 Mark 2. which has a much more sloped windscreen, than Marks 1a,1b and 1c.
The Mark 2 is not "class legal" for racing, and I understand is a modification by Colin Brookes since the death of Richard Hartley, to give the boat a more "modern" look. Mark 1 plans can be requested through Hartley's in NZ, or the Sth Aust Association. This website may help:
Hartley Trailer Sailers Click on "Hartley 16" then "Site Contents" then "History" and go to page 4. Good luck and let us know how you get on.

Thank you Simon Purser. That is exactly what it is, the Mark 2. Your link give me the information I needed. I am building the boat to learn to sail on and just learn to build a boat.

The Mark 2 has a different hull from the Mark 1, and being more streamlined may well be faster (hence why it's not "class legal", if it was slower, it wouldn't be a problem!)
Interesting you have these plans, as Hartley's generally send the Mark 1c design unless you specifically request the Mark 2.
The hull looks great. Hope to see more as you progress. You may wish to sent them to the Hartley forum and gallery below, as I don't recall any other Mark 2's represented. Cheers, Simon
