Default Hartley TS16 - Repair HELP

    Hi all.
Im in the process of trying to repaint the hull of my TS16.
I have no idea as to how I will get her of the trailer and roll her over to do the work. The beam of these boats make it not an easy task.
Any suggestion from fellow TS boat owners?

Congratulations o a great site also.

    Kind Regards,

    Adam.

the traditional method is to invite a few able bodies over for a BBQ'd sausage and some sort of liquid, and make a ceremony of 'turning 'er over', a sort of right of passage event. You can rig up all sorts of straps and pulleys and dollys and blocks but a few thirsty friends are quicker.

what I did with my ts21 was put an old truck tyre behind the trailer then push/winch the boat backwards until it rests on the tyre then pull the trailer away (placing tyres as needed) To paint just tilt it one way paint let dry repeat with the other side ..no need to flip it you will be able to do it easy

Did more-or-less the same with my TS16. Worked a treat.
Figured it would be one helluva stretch to paint the middle of an inverted 8 ft wide TS,
even if I did find a way & a location to turn it...
Blocks under the keel to nearly trailer height. Rocked side-to-side onto tyres.
Put scraps of carpet over the blocks & tyres so that they wouldn't mark the paint.
This way, no stretching, & the keel in exactly the right spot to do gouging & filling
maintenance whilst comfortably seated on a cushion. And I didn't even have to take
all the stuff out of the cabin to do it.
    cheers
    AJ
