Increase Spar Lengths and Sail Size?
I am building an Oughtred Guillemot. The plans state that the boat is 11 feet 5 inches but the kit I purchased had 1 inch added to each of the stations making my boat 12 feet.
The plans have spar lengths and sail dimensions for the standing lug rig I am going to use. As my boat is some 7 inches longer I am going to increase the length of the spars and the size of the sail proportionally to this increase in size. Is this necessary and if so is the exercise as simple as just increasing all lengths (the three spars and the four sides of the sail) proportionally.

For the tiny increase in length, you'd notice no difference with the standard rig, unless you were racing and timing things to the nearest tenth of a second. I'd just build it with the standard rig. My 2c.
ETA: Compared to a standard hull, with the same rig, yours would be theoretically slightly slower in very light winds, and slighter faster in stronger winds, with a little bit more stability. You'd hardly notice most of the time, though..

Agreed the additional length isn't a significant amount, so the stock rig would be logical. Though a 5% length increase is made, the sail carrying power isn't affected much, because the beam and draft remain the same. You'll gain a slight longitudinal stability increase, but very little additional sail carrying power, so . . .
