    Default Maximum Outboard Equation

    G'day,
    Have been looking everywhere on te net (to no avail) for the equation to work out the maximum size outboard to out on the Australian Builders Plate. Thought someone here might be able to help.

    The designer should have specified what he/she designed it to take.
    Otherwise I imagine you'd need to get a suitably qualified person to assess the design
    and your build & come up with a number.
    I take it this is not your boat ?

    There was a draft version of the Standard ... here. Remember it is a draft, not the real thing.

    You need to pay for the Australian Standard - AS1799.

    and then the info has to go on the plate as per
