Mirror 16 Dinghy
New member today.
What is state of play with plans for Mirror 16?
Is the resurrection project still live?
Built a Mirror 10 30 years ago and fancy doing something similar but bigger that I can camp in.

I have picked up a Mirror 16 with a dilapidated hull. I intend to strip the hull and use the original parts as templates for new ones. I will also document each piece as I go.

Forgot to mention that I will be using the measuements from the stripped hull to update the 3D CAD model I have created. Drawings from this could be used by anyone who wants to build a new hull.

Mirror 16 Drawing
Hi,
I am looking for Mirror 16 plans to make a replica.
Would you accept to give me a copy of the plan you made measuring a dismounted M16.
Best regards.

Mirror 16 Templates
Hi,
I am currently dismantling a very tired Mirror 16 with the view to create a set of templates and rebuild the hull. Please feel free to PM me if you want further info.

Sounds like lots of people have started measuring their Mirror 16's over the years, but seems like no one has ever finished - are they really so big that no one can measure whole thing, or is it just that no one can find tape measure that measures in feet and inches anymore ?
Full disclosure, I don't think I would get round to building one myself, but would be a shame to see the design go fully extinct.
If anyone does have the measurements laying around somewhere on the back of an envelope I'd be happy to have a go at drawing them up into something more useful, maybe something that could help someone who is going to build one.

Mirror 16 Plans
I would also love to ge hold of a set of plans for a Mirror 16, as I grew up on one, and would love to build one. Has anyone actually achieved putting a set together.
I live n toowoomba, Qld, and currently sail a Hartley 21, and a Gwen, mainly on Moreton Bay

I have put a set of plans together. They can be downloaded from here: Mirror 16 foot Sailing Dinghy | Page 19 | Boat Design Net
I'm hoping to start building one in a couple of months (after I get my Hobie cat put back together and out of my garage). We'll see how that goes. There is a good chance that the plans might need to be adjusted once I get into the build. Mirror 16 Build | Boat Design Net

I am in the middle of repairing the transom, some floor, ribs #30, #31 and the rear flotation tanks on my Mirror 16.
I have downloaded the plans you have on the other forum.
In both of the plans (new and original) rib #31 is drawn with a straight edge against the hull.
However the hull on my Mirror has a curve similar to rib #30.
Are there any other Mirror 16 owners here who could check to see if there is a convex (outwards) curve underneath the hull about 24" forward from the transom.
