Newbie with questions on Goat Island Skiff
Hello all. I am in the early stages of deciding which wooden sailboat I would like to build. I have built a JEM Sabalo kayak, which was quite a detailed and challenging project for a novice boat builder, but now I'm looking to start planning my next project. I have pretty much decided on building a GIS, and would appreciate some information on costs, build times and who would be available for advice on this project. I would also love to find someone who has one in SA who would be happy for me to go for a test sail with them.

G'day
probably the better sub-forum to ask would be Michael Storer's Boat Designs
direct link Michael Storer Wooden Boat Plans
Heaps of GIS builders there will be happy to help.
Quite a few build threads to research.
Michael's plans are a boat-building course in themselves, so you are unlikely to hit any snags.
And anyway, when he isn't travelling, Michael is easy to contact & helpful.
cheers
