In the “woodworking - general” there’s a sticky called “A woodworkers map”. BTW if you narrow down your location a bit more than “OZ” people will be able to help more.

I got my rough sawn high quality Oregon (Douglas Fir) from here Oregon Cut to Size Delivered Australia Wide. They would ship and I think they will machine to the size you want.

I also have a contact in Tassie for Huon Pine, Celery Top Pine, and other timbers but you’ll have to freight it. I know he could organise it. You’d need machinery to break it down and dress it too.

Thank you. I found the sticky. That Google map is awesome. I am located on the NSW South Coast, near Berry. Re Oregon, that is interesting thanks. Re the Tasi contact I don't have machinery to break down timber and (if possible) would prefer to buy DAR rather than dress the timber myself. I have found a Paulownia supplier Paulownia Timber) but am not sure about Paulownia (seems too light and weak to hold fasteners etc).
