Default What paint over epoxy sealer

No boat involved but I've treated some marine plywood with a 2 pack clear sealer, 'Norglass'. Now I'm wondering what I get away with for top coat paint. Naturally Norglass say that only their 2 part paint should be used.

Never mind, I've had another look at the Norglass site and I notice now that it states, can be over coated with ANY paint..Hmm? Pay me to read more carefully the first time.

If over coating with an alkyd (oil based) then strongly consider a good primer. Some alkyds react poorly with epoxy and it's only some types of epoxies (mostly an additive and hardener thing).

Twp packs (LPU's) are nice, but be careful what you wish for. I use them frequently, but they do cost a bit. More importantly they gloss is so high that every imperfection will be amplified by it's reflection. In short, unless you have nearly flawless surfaces, then maybe a single part polyurethane might be in order.
