Patching plywood hulls below the water line
I've got a plywood trailer sailer (unique design based on dory lines) that needs attention below the water line. Some spots have bare wood that neds patching, other parts need fibreglassing (i.e. along the chines). What is the best way to patch then paint the bare wood in particular before applying the final top-coat of antifouling?

Hi Pat, welcome aboard . . .
Have a look at Mik's (Michael Storer) boat building pages, where you can find a wealth of information about 'glass and epoxy work. Also download the free "user's guides" from westsystem.com and systemthree.com for information to the processes, materials and techniques.
The repair is dependent on how the boat is currently built. If it's a traditionally built craft, then goo and 'glass probably aren't as necessary as you might think. If it's an encapsulated build (embalmed in epoxy), than yes, some goo and fabrics will likely be in order.
Can you describe the build method and maybe post some pictures?
