Pilothouse repairs
I've recently been asked to repair, alternatively build a new pilothouse, on a 40 year old cabincruiser. The boat is a clinkerbuilt plattgatter (that is a transom-boat), built in larch, with mahogany housesides. The original glue is a rescorcinol- or phenolglue, wich has become pure powder. This results in cracks and leaks, and the wife is quite furious...
So the question is how to do a proper repairjob. Anyone any ideas?

It's not uncommon to have this occur. Epoxy will probably be the best choice, but much more then this would require more information, maybe some photos, etc. A lot depends on where and what needs to be repaired.
