    Default Scow Moth taken apart

Some interesting pics of a Scow Moth, revealing its construction secrets. This boat was on display at Hobart's Wooden Boat Festival last weekend.

The interesting bit for me is the daggerboard case...

Are you interested in scow construction, there's a great source in Ian Outhred's three-part series in Australian Sailing about '78. Should be available at your state library.

I'm finally going to check on mine this weekend - it's been stuck under a veranda for ages but looked okay some time ago. It'll go into dry storage unless someone wants it.

In recent times I have become interested in lightweight construction. Thanks for the reference, I'll see if I can get a copy. Boat Books will probably have it too.
