white beech
I've been chasing some white beech(Australian) for decking, some of the distributors have been talking about a white beech from the Solomons. Any idea how this timber stacks up against Gmelina Leichhardtii or are they so closely related that its not overly important. Cheers

hi Huon
tweaked my memory,
just saw some the other day (coffs nsw) ( been sitting in his shed for years)
the bloke wanted $2500 per cube (probably negotiable), he says there is 3cube ,I reckon closer to 2, he will separate,
it's been racked for 18 yrs (probably still not dry )
looked like mainly 1 inch (x4,5,6,') boards? and a couple of larger sizes (10'x4')
I've got nothing to do with the wood , just passing it on,
cheers
what if the hokey pokey is really what it's all about?
