RENOVATE FORUM(S) IS MOVING. This weekend.
Hello Reno people
All things being equal reno forums will be on its' own new autonomous site this weekend
Hopefully it will finally happen late this Saturday 20th April.
When it does happen the below will also happen.
- This forum will shut sown around an hour before the move happens and there will be no posting to any of the Reno forums during the period of migration from here to new site.
- Last time we migrated the forums it took around 30 hours so... Reno may be closed to posting for that time, or at least part of it. There will be notification of the temporary closure.
- The entire Woodwork Forums site will be moved including all graphics, images, members info, PM's, etc, etc.
- Once migration is done everything that isn't Reno related or is Woodwork Forums related will have to be deleted from the new site. This may result in the the new site remaining closed or running very slowly whilst this happens.
- All the old photos that were lost when Renovate Forums was closed down by Oneflare will stay lost, as will all the posts that couldn't be rescued in that closure. However everything that's here now will stay and be the base for the new forums to be built on.
- The new Renovate Forum WILL NEVER BE CLOSED DOWN by me or anyone connected to me, it will continue on until the WWW is no longer, some idiot blows it up or something new comes along to replace it and I am no more.
The official site address will be: https://www.renovateforum.au or just renovateforum.au (not a live link yet) as this is the closest to the site name of the one that was deleted.
However, you will also be able to access the site with:
renovateforums.com - renovateforums.com.au - renovateforums.au
Note that the 3 links above are all pluralI ie: end in S, whereas the new forum home page is singular (no S)
The link in the box at the top of Woodwork Forums and Metalwork Forums will also be changed to go straight through to the new site once it's up and running.
Hopefully this move will go way more smoothly than the last one and won't cause a major disruption to ether forum.
Cheers - Neil

Huh... Well its moved, and moved, and moved again and for the moment it's in stuck in limbo. May have to upgrade to a higher version of vBulletin. Currently running vB4+, which is not wanting to play. Have an active version of vB5+ but wasn't happy with it for Photo Forums a couple few years ago. Will wait and see what happens later tonight.
In the mean time Please don't post anything new to any of the forums under reno on here or they will more than likely be lost on the moved forums.
Apologies for the delay and problems, that unfortunately are out of our control for the moment.
Cheers - Neil
