    Default re-pointing advise needed

    Hi
    the mortar is coming has come out from
    between the bricks.
    what is the best way to fix and
    is there any premix
    to use if not what is the best materials to use

    any recommendations welcomed
    job is
    3 bricks high by about 10 metres long
    any idea on cost

    There is a chance you are losing mortar as a result of the damp course breaking down. I would suggest before you consider repointing that you have it looked at first. Bunnings will have pre mixed bagged stuff you can use to repoint with but I don't know if it is OK to use it against what is probably lime mortar. Someone else may comment on that.

    Sounds as though you need to get the dampcourse sorted out first as its failed by the sounds of it.
