    Default Deck Plan Software

Does anyone have any software that I could get / buy / download for desnigning decks. I can find heaps with google for floorplan type stuff, but I want to draw my own plans. I am looking for somehting that lets you peice together timber framing in 3d, but with pre-made "bits" like joists etc. I have all the span tables, i just want something so I dont have to draw it by hand.
I tried some cad stuff, but it got too complicated fast.
    Thanx
    Paul

you might find this link usefull

    http://www.consumersearch.com/www/so...are/index.html

Ive found most of these at harvey norman including
Punch! Professional Home Design Suite Platinum 10

Most of these programs do more than just decks , but I think they
are the best you can get at this point in time, with a reasonable price

The link below has some excellent 2D/3D modeling software that has all and more of the features you require. I believe it is based on a CAD platform but all the shape modeling has already been done for you so all you do is drop and drag the items you require.

I used it for my deck and landscape design. Got an engineer to check and rubber stamp then submitted to certifier with no problems.
