Default Flood's Spa & Deck, Merbau on Merbau

From the overwhelming wrap that this product gets on here I thought it best to give it a go and did all the proper prepping but with 3 coats of the Merbau colour down it looks quite orange'ish to me. I'm planning on putting a fourth coat down but I'm wondering if more coats will darken the colour or just make it look more orange

    JIM!!! We need Jim. JIM!!!!!!
Ineteresting, 'cause I was planning Merbau on Merbau myself.
All decks should be stained....black white black white black white.......after all it would match anything!
All roofs should be covered or tiled.....black colorbond, silver mist, black colorbond, silver mist, black colorbond.........after all, we wouldn't want a mismatch!

I'd hold off DR-307 until I post some pics. It's not the colour I thought I'd end up with.

I'll see if I can take some this afternoon. Hopefully another coat will fix it but it really hasnt got much darker in colour since the first coat.

I had the QLD rep come to my house with a sample of all the colours and found the jarrah was darker than the Merbau so we are using jarrah.

I got some Cabots natural decking oil for my deck. THis stuff is far from natural! I poiled the posts, which are cypress pine and as you can image the timber is much much lighter than the merbau. It has gone very very dark. Im concerened of how dark the merbau will go now that i have seen how dark the cypress is. Im just going to do it, will post fotos when its done
