Default Front Porch Deck Progress Pics

Thought I might post up a couple of pics on the progress of my first deck building exercise
I have extended the concrete slab out from the rendered posts 1800mm and dyna bolted 75 x 35 H3 treated pine battens to the concrete.
    I've then used 90 x 19 Merbau decking.

It's been raining for the last week so I havent been able to finish it off but should get to it this week. You can see the front section of the deck has been exposed to the rain much more as alot of the tanins have bleed out, where the back section looks alot darker. I'll have to scrub them down before I oil it.
I will add a few more pics when its finished then it will be onto the much bigger deck out the back.

Thanks for all the advice fellas, it's made this a reasonably mistake free job.

    Looks great.

How are those dado rails on the columns done. Solid masonry, or some lightweight pre fab material?

Thanks guys, for my first effort I didnt think I did too bad.

Those rails are the lightweight styra-foam stuff. We have them around the windows too. Not the greatest feature but adds a bit of interest.
