Plastic Deck boards
Heya guys,
Was at bunnings when one of teh guys was talking to me about deck boards. They have this plastic deck board, that looks like merbu, but its made from a variety of materials, mainly plastic. Bascially lasts longer and looks/feels the same and does not need any maintance after they are screwed down.
Anyone tried these? I know a Deck should be made from wood but hey...Is worth even looking at?>

Gday mate, there are a few variations around on the same thing, Modwood is one that comes to mind.
Apparently a blend of recycled plastic (PVC I think) and sawdust. Some promotional material I read said it goes grey over time like real timber, this was touted as being a good thing, to my mind I'd rather it hold the original colour I chose for as long as possible.
Does look good laid though, saw some at Designbuild last year that I'd be more than happy to have.
Here's a couple of forum searches to work yer way through. Search 1 Search 2
