    I like the look of the 4.5m dingy but why does it have a flat bottom when the 3.8 doesn't.

    I don't know the difference in how they'd handle is it a turning vs straight line thing?

    It's got a flat bum and slab sides, everyone knows they don't work
    (if you don't get the joke, check out the GIS )

    She does have some nice curves - those flared sides take a lot of the slabbishness out of her.

    But how does she row? She really looks like a sail boat you can row if you're silly enough. What's she like to row in a side wind (if you lived here, you'd understand that question)? Normally I wouldn't ask because in this sort of boat, rowing is normally a side issue, but the website makes a bit of a fuss about rowing so to my eye, that means it SHOULD do it well. If it's an occasional rower, that emphasis needs to be reduced on his website so as not to mislead peeps like me who like to row and expect a boat to do it half reasonably.

    Default 4.2m skiff

    Hi everybody tells you Sorin, from Romania.
    I know this is an old thread but Ijust found it.I also finished the building of my skiff from plans of Mr. Radoslaw Werszko.
    I don't have much experience in sailing but I learn fast.
    The boat is handling verry well in light breeze and with some butterfly in the stomac in strong winds.I did it and I love it. Because is a narrow boat, made for rowing too, the risk of capsize in strong winds is very high.
    The rowing is very easy but I always prefer the sail.
    Ok, below is the first sail of my boat ,named "Teleleu" ;
