Thread: My next boat

my current build went 3d recently and the C.F.O. came out to the shed to have a look. She only made 3 comments. 1 it looks pretty, 2 its to small and flimsy for her to sleep in, 3 i'll have to build a bigger one next. So i've been given permission to make something bigger. The next boat has to be:
24-32 ft (1.5 - 2 x current build)
beefy but simple construction (much more than 1/4" ply)
shallow drafted ( say about 2 ft max)
will sit upright on the ground
low tech sailing (no hyd. or elec. winches etc.)
the boat will live on a shallow occasionaly drying swing mooring, and sailing ground will be melbourne's pp bay to the gippsland lakes. after my exhaustive 15min search ive come up with: nis26 / 29, or karl stambaugh's bahama mama from 100 boat designs, or any number of cats could be possible. So how about a few more ideas or comments?
