Want to build a 4m clinker Dinghy.
Am well into the restoration of a 55' wooden cutter, (ex Customs boat) in PNG, with my trusty shipwright from the islands and not so trusty tool destroyer assistants.
For some light relief ! we decided to build a tender for the mother ship. Plan is to use all PNG hardwoods, in fact the ship wright recommends carefully selected rosewood, and he has been doing it for 45 years longer than me.
Were going to have the plans lofted but too expensive. Can anyone recommend a set of drawings that accommodate hardwood and not ply.
At the same time a recommended supply of oakum, copper sheet and copper rivetsfor the mother ship would be most appreciated.
(and my first post, so apologies for any breach of protocol).

A couple of boat builders should be along to advise but I'll start the ball rolling. Many clinker plans about but I'd go for this one from Paul Gartside.
Paul Gartside Ltd.
You don't mention rowing or outboard I was wondering about weight if this is to be a tender I assume it will need hauling aboard or on davits therefore a glued lapstrake ply maybe more suited again many designs.
Beach Pea from Doug Hylan perhaps D. N. Hylan & Associates | Brooklin, Maine | 207-359-9807
or go a bit bigger and for less weight a couple of Ross Lillistone designs and he can supply some fittings etc. as well as advice. www.baysidewoodenboats.com.au/
