This is Axel Gustafsson's site , and I was interested in No 52 , although she was a bit big.
I contacted Axel , he tells me he has a similar design for a 28 footer !.

Sorry.

Here are samples of the plans .
I like them , I reckon she would be great , for me.
Lots of study to do yet , but I like her features , a great fishing boat , which is what she was designed to be.

Hi Rob, there's an interesting little motorsailer of this type in Gippsland on ebay at the moment.
Ketch Rigged Coastal Motor Sailer (eBay item 170573750465 end time 09-Dec-10 00:09:05 AEDST) : Cars, Bikes, Boats
But she's made from F#$%^glass!
Cheers

G/Day Tony.
She is an interesting looking boat , I'd like to see how she performs.
And she is FG , so I'm just not interested.
I've found one that is very interesting.
The wheelhouse and cabin though is aluminium .
It looks to be very well built , but I'd be worried about it getting too hot , have you an opinion on that ?.
Right now I'm too sore and weak to get out of my own way , but it would be nice to find something.
Regards Rob J.

Hi Rob
That's a funky little craft isn't it? Looks great! Re the wheelhouse getting too hot, I doubt it would be much worse than timber frankly. If it's painted white, and as long as there is reasonable airflow through it, I would expect it would be alright on all but the hottest days, and you probably wouldn't want to be out on the water on those days anyway! Given the small size of the boat and the need to keep a structure like that strong and light, aluminium is probly a reasonable choice of material.
Re the boat I linked to, I know what you mean about FG. It's practical, but I can't love it. I thought you might like the appearance though, and the way the cabin is set up looks very practical.
I hope you feel better soon, it's a bugger feeling crook.
Cheers
Tony

Tony , the boat I put up is very well insulated , so it would , or should be ok inside , particularly if you can get an airflow going.
But I was thinking of the exterior.
I suppose there would be nothing to stop you giving it a spray of water every now and then.
The boat you put up may well do well on the lakes , but I dunno how it would go in Portland , heading out to sea.
But I'd be interested in following it.
As to my health , well its on a downer at the moment , and that happens all too often now.
I can't even drive the car at the moment.
