It might be more helpful to refine your search a bit ,as your looking for a very broad set of variables.

Racers construction elements, will be wildly different from model to model and builder to builder, most being quite unique to the specific builder/class/model, etc.

Utilities are usually standardized and stiffly constructed, for their function (they're a utility). Each manufacture and builder will have specific approaches to the build, of course model based. For example the way Chris Craft approaches a utility build (like a Sea Skiff) will be quite different then the way another manufacture builds a similar utility.

It's very likely you don't need lines, but some help on methodology and typical techniques and traits would be helpful.

Simply put, what are you trying to do, what boat (manufacture, year and model) are you working with and a more refined set of questions (how long a scarf ratio is used in an 1953 Owens utility chine log for example) so we can offer some real help rather then general information about boat building.

Hal Kelly designs were very competitive and respected in late 40's and 50's. He was a racer the utilities and hydros were fast. With okoume and epoxy, they would be even better. I would not hesitate to build one.
