Default Information on timber ski boat

Hi all, just joined up to hopefully find a bit of back ground info. We have a late 1950's early 1960's Ski-Hi 15'6 ski boat. The paperwork that come with the boat says it was designed by naval architect, Leonard Hedges from Caringbah NSW. I have done numerous seaches to find some information about the boat but to no luck. Wondering if someone has any information that may be helpful. Thanks.

I would say your best shot would be to become a member of the Australian Classic Wooden Power Boat Association. Classic Australian Wooden Power Boat Association, wooden boats, classic boats, antique boats, restoration, nostalgia, old speed boats and old race boats

I have just downloaded the registration form from their site, as I now have a Wells Bilt which is a ski boat of the same vintage and require heaps of assistance to copy and build a new hull!

Please post some pictures for us all to see!

Thanks for your help. Here's some pictures for you. When we got the boat it had a non slip paint on the deck - we have completely stripped it back and re painted the whole thing ourselves. It runs a 6 cyclinder Chev Blue Flame. Goes well, during the summer we are out just about every weekend in it.

I have finally found another boat from the same plan. I own an Len Hedges ski Hire that was built in Mount Gambier SA in 1965. I have had it since 2006 and in that time has been restored to a very high standard. I am a member of CAWPBA and it's the only one in the club and from whom I have spoken with have not heard of them. I hope the photo attachment works...

Thanks for the picture of your boat - looks awesome! If you know of anyone, we are trying to sell our boat. Thanks.
