I just got my plans from Ross. They look very good. Can't wait to get the shed cleaned and get started.

Since this thread went up, I've been gaining interest in pirogues.... now we've been looking at light little things that you can easily toss arround with 1 or 2 people.

I came across a site with some details of the " red pirogue" that lewis and clark used on their expedition.
It was over 40 feet long and 9 feet wide.

seems to be a versatile style of boat

    cheers
Any thing with sharp teeth eats meat.
    Most powertools have sharp teeth.
    People are made of meat.
Abrasives can be just as dangerous as a blade.....and 10 times more painfull.

    This may be redundant

This is a long narrow rowboat, is very light, beam, 3.5ft is more than a canoe but narrower than some other boats

    boat is Steve Redmond's whisp

Quite a few photos of a Whisp being built at the last Duckflat Spring School.

It is a bit mixed in with the other boats but look here...
