Strip plank boats are made by glueing thin strips of wood together over forms, sanding smooth and fibreglassing inside and out. There is an example of a finished boat at http://www.newfound.com/rangeley.htm

kelvin that is a sexy boat!
might be beyond my skill set for the moment though haha
i think after looking around, i am deffinately considering the Eureka 155, i hope my next statement doesnt offend but to me it appears not quite a canoe/kayak, but not quite a row boat.
just ideal.
deffinately the way to go for me i think!
