Thanks AD.
When it FINALLY stops raining , and dries out enough to get trucks on site , I'll be getting my long awaited and anticipated shed up , and this time next year I'll have somewhere to go to , and build boats.
I'd love to learn to build in the traditional manner , but I don't want anything too difficult , first up.
The only time a tender would go up on to HS would be on the trailer , as she came down from Sydney , across the cockpit.
I had a look again at the Gartside site ( I have it in favorites) , and correct me if I'm wrong , but the tender you proposed , a favorite of his too , is not shown set up for sail at all , its a pure little rowing tender.
I have 2 of those already , next time I'd like to build something that rows/sails or pedals/sails .
Regards Rob J.

For some ideas about pedal power have a look at http://www.rickwill.bigpondhosting.com/
One option for a tender that I like is Chameleon which was recently on Dorymans blog http://dory-man.blogspot.com/ It is a lightweight two piece nesting sail/oar dinghy. http://www.duckworksmagazine.com/04/...cham/index.cfm

My understanding is that the Hobie peddle setup can be bought seperately .
I ran a quick tape over the little Tassie tender , it is roughly 6ft 6 long , by 3 ft 10 wide , strip plank made , with it looks like a cork sandwich.
Haven't had it on the water yet , unfortunately.
I'd like something like it that sails !.
