    Default Percy Blandford

It's amazing that Percy Blandfords designs made it down under and still seem pretty popular!

I started a face book group "The Percy Blandford appreciation society" because there is so little information about the man himself on the net, yet he wrote 100+ books and designed dozens of self build boats, yachts and canoes.

Percy is alive and well and trying to get his memoirs published! Don't want to pinch any traffic from here, but get over to face book and join our group ! If you have any pics of PWB designs post em!

Thanks, Bootle. The grand old chap has certainly given thousands of hours of pleasure to thousands of people over the years.

And today's his 100th Birthday! Congratulations and very many thanks, Percy.

Percy started Newbold Sea Scouts donkeys years ago, and he was just always 'Percy from the Sea Scouts', we never realised he was world famous! I've got a couple of his woodworking books and they're very straightforward and practical. Here's a link to an article on him from the Stratford Herald about him watching the Olympic torch relay. One of the comments on the article points out that he should have had an honour of some sort!

Couldn't find the Facebook group, by the way...
    Cheers, Richard
