Pram bowed boat
Hello any and all
took this photo on a visit to San Francisco in about 1999 or so and must have snapped this boat at the time. Think it must have been in Sausalito from memory. Just came across the photo and thought that some might find it interesting. have no idea what it is but it looks good to my eye.

Looks a lot like the piners' punts in Strahan (Tas).
Also a lot like the replica built for the Capt Sturt(?) Murray R. re-enactment a few years back.
Probably a really effective shape to have appeared so widely.Alan J

I see what you mean Alan regarding the Piners' punts. There also seems to be a similarity to some of Francois Vivier's row and sail designs. Vivier states in his description of one version that the small bow transom was ideal for disembarking onto a river bank.
Great looking boat though, it seems to me
