Unobtainium was the main excuse for the film "Avatar".
The secondary excuse was for Sigourney Weaver to make it up to all those poor
misunderstood aliens she wiped out over the last couple of decades.
Hope this helps...
AJ
(enjoyable film by the way - worth parting with the shekels to see it on the big screen)

Hi wavedancer. You will have a nice boat if it is all King Billy.
Very light for it;s size..
Nubeena is situated in the South East corner of Tasmania. On the Tasman Peninsula. About 6 miles from Port Arthur.
Unobtainium.! ! ! . Very common timber these days. You just can't get it any more . LOLI FISH THEREFORE I AM.

Thanks for clearing that up guys.
Wavedancer is double diagonal planked King Billy Pine of the modern times but not exactly light. The scales on the travel lift at Harvey Bay Qld registered 8500kg and that was with no fuel, water or grog on baord.
Paul, Nubeana must be close to Do Town which is a very nice part of the world. Some very good boat builders also come from that area, some of them could even build boats with chains around their legs.
