Unusual dinghy
Came across this very unusual dinghy at a Saturday Market in Rozelle not long ago.
Took some photos and started speaking with the seller although he didn't know much about it at all. Seems that it's been used as a decorative element in a home or shop on the Northern Beaches of Sydney for some years.
Any ideas about what it may be??
Couldn't resist buying it just because of it's curiosity value:

Yep, that's an inverted V hull design. It's one I've dabbled with on a considerably larger scale. It's a very effective high speed hull form, but about useless as a sail boat, which this one appears to be set as. The shallow portion of the V is the after end and judging by the mast step, she was once a cat rig. I would think she'd sail like crap, but an interesting find, none the less.
