    Default Flooring!!!!???

Hi I was just wondering if anybody has done the sums on the different types timber flooring. We need to fix to a concrete floor so I was wondering if ply (glued) followed by T&G sanded and polished beats the prefinished manufactured boards? and does either beat ceramic tiles ( I know swear word).

Trying to investigate options cause I figure why pay the tiler for something I can do myself right!

    Thanks T

You don't need ply under the boards, go with battens but keep them a max of 300mm apart otherwise they can sound drummy. Pn down the battens then floor board glue or liquid nails then secret nail. Easy peasy

The price will be determined by the level of quality of the timber you choose. My first choice would always be solid timber over the 12mm ply.
